Description

Watercolor and lead pencil on paper illustrating a ship on the ways at Northport. Foreground roughly shows a dock with several piles of scattered timber, man fishing off right side. Schooner set on the ways in midground, four small figures working across the deck and outisde the hull. Water filling out the background, one sailboat illustrated on far right side, faint pencil outlines of several houses on far left side; sky above faintly colored in light blue pigment. Handwritten stencil along bottom reads, "Yacht: Cleo. Rebuilt at Northport, L.I.".
