Watercolor and India ink on brown paper depicting residence and homestead of W.P. Buffett. Foreground and midground are largely comprised of grassy field from left to center with a split rail fencing border, five cows graze to the far left side, trees line the interior of the back fence of the field in the left midground; to center right a kitchen garden with planted rows and beds is bordered by a white picket fence; to far right a road extends onto the paper and curves backwards along the right side of the view along a road bordered on either side with tall trees, man driving two-horse cart turning to his left and heading towards the background of the painting along the road. Background consists of the two-and-a-half story residence to the right and two adjacent farm grey farm buildings in the center and the left, beyond the grassy field. Sky above is painted with several white-highlighted clouds.
