Center of foreground shows grouping of boulders next to a tree, tree stump, and bushes; empty cart to far right in front of small one-room building and two-horse carriage traveling towards the viewer on a dirt road to the far left; trees in a field beyond leading towards houses. Midground shows six houses and homesteads on the left side extending towards the background with various outbuildings; elevated trestle tracks running horizontally across the middle of the landscape, additional cluster of buildings right of center beyond train tracks, trains with three cars traveling from right to left. Background filled with wooded landscape, clear sky with blue tints above.
