Foreground consists of large fields partitioned by split rail fences and linearly planted trees; two clusters of trees in far left foreground and center foreground; groups of three, four, and six horses located in sections of the partitioned fields accompanied by two lone figures. Drawing is horizontally bisected in midground by road with two carriages seperately traveling towards the left; built structures clustered beyond the road from left to right, possibly several distinct farmsteads; at far left a barn next to a two-and-a-half story farmhouse, at middle left barn with attached stable standing next to two-story farmhouse, largest of the houses located to right of center with flagpole and windmill powered watertank behind semi-circular drive with ornamentally planted shrubbery, at far right several connected farm or stable buildings.
