Description
Lead pencil and watercolor on paper showing a panoramic view of Stony Brook and the harbor. Foreground filled with assorted forest trees, tops of several structures peeking out from the canopy, pond with road beyond on far left side. Midground shows a collection of buildings on either side of a body of water, several of which in waterfront locations appear to be mills, small hill to far left side with white house nestled among trees below, fields to far right beyond the clustered buildings with forested areas beyond. Background shows forested areas on the far side of the winding body of water, residences and other structures dotting its far shore, view of the harbor visible just before the horizon line with the masts of several ships in the center background; sky above painted with several light and dark clouds. Artwork bordered with a thin white line.
