Photoengraved print, ink on paper, showing ten vignettes and scenes around Babylon. Central image of the group takes up the lower half of the print and features a panoramic view of Babylon from an aerial perspective above the Great South Bay, labeled along top in center "View of Babylon L.I. from the Great South Bay." with smaller labels along the top noting churches, hotels, and other locations seen in the panorama, including "The Argyle", "Bapt. Ch.", "Cath. Ch.", "Meth. Ch.", "Presb. Ch.", School H.", "Saw Mill", "Old Grist Mill", and "Effingham Park", residences of F.H. Kalbfleisch, W.F. Kingsland, and Hon. J.R. Reid also noted. In the center of the top half of the print large banners in between the vignettes read, "J. James Robbins. Insurance. Real Estate. Babylon. L.I. N.Y."; scene in top center shows a view of The Argyle hotel and beneath it a view of Fire Island from the water; to the left side of the top are four vignettes showing a grist mill, the Watson House, a cottage located on Bayview Avenue, and the village sprinkling cart; to the right side of the top are three vignettes showing Babylon's Main Street, an LIRR steam engine, and several carriages on a road labeled "Driving between Babylon & Bay Shore". Also included in this collection is a depiction of a lightbulb labeled, "Electric Light". Entire print created from an original collage of pen and ink drawings by using a photoengraving process, this example printed as letterhead and includes a handwritten note signed by J.James Robbins.
