Albumen print on thin paper adhered to original cardboard backing depicting various views of Setauket and Setauket Harbor. Center image titled "Setauket. L.I." and depicts wide angled panorama of Setauket Harbor; foreground of grassy slope with scattered trees, couple and child sitting on bench to the right, path winding out of frame to the left with single-horse carriage and passenger next to woman walking with a child; the waters of the harbor ripple in the center midground beyond, traversed by several sailboats including several sloops, schooners, and rowboats; to the left, grassy hill with scattered trees and shrubs leads to a house with forest beyond; beyond the harbor and to the right sprawls the town of Setauket, several notable churches and buildings delineated clearly enough to distinguish them; background fades abruptly to horizon line with hazy sky above. Six views of specific buildings arranged consecutively across the top, above the center image; (left to right) depicting "The Meth. Epis. Church", "E. Setauket School", "W. Setauket School H & Episcopal Church", "The Stores Near the Pond at West Setauket", "Old Field Point" and "The Presbyt. Church". Three images arranged below the center image, from left to right depicting "The Stores at East Setauket.", "The Setauket Rubber Factory.", and "Sans Souci. Hotel for Summer Boarders. Dr. E.M. Burns. Propr."; these bottom images slightly larger with more detail, including pedestrians and carriages in the foregrounds with the featured buildings in the mid and backgrounds.
