Center image shows clustered pedestrians and carriages gathered in the drive on top of Prospect Hill, next to a residence or inn overlooking the water to the left; sailboats traveling through the water below; in the distance, the town of Greenport stretches back to the horizon line; some indication of highlighted clouds in the sky above. Bottom row of three details, from left to right, depict "The Manhasset House", an observation tower, and "The Prospect House". The top row of three details, from left to right, depict "The Bluffs of Shelter Island.", and "A Visit to Montauk."; the top row of images all focus on the landscape and waterscape surrounding Shelter Island, "A Visit to Montauk" features a view of Montauk Lighthouse.
