Watercolor, gouache, India ink, and collaged paper on paper depicting a view of the Prospect House and its property. Dirt road cuts diagonally along the far left side of the painting, travelled by carriages and person on horseback, lined with trees; to the right of the road the property extends across the paper to a waterfront, six buildings of varying sizes including one labeled "Bowling Alley" and one labeled "Livery" scattered across the grassy property bisected by dirt paths and roads; garden beds spread throughout and decoratively planted with flowers and shrubs; sailboats moving through the water of the harbor to the far right. Prospect House located in the center and left background, wraparound veranda filled with figures, American flag flying on left tower, main flagpole flying a banner labeled "Prospect"; forested background beyond dotted with buildings; sky above painted a faint blue with outlined clouds. Labeled across top, "Prospect House. Bay Shore. L.I. N.Y." and below, "D. Frankel, Propr. also Clarendon Hotel. Brooklyn, N.Y."
